Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Sierra de Orihuela for its stunning panoramic views and diverse hiking trails, offering a great escape into nature. The historical elements, like old mines, add an interesting dimension. Some caution is advised regarding seasonal hazards and the challenging terrain on certain routes.

"Great place to walk in the nature and fresh air with amazing panoramic views. Lots of different path routes. I parked at the picnic area near Piar de Bonaza then walked up to the Cross View point then along the entire ridge up to Pena de Orihuela. Took me approx 5 hours and covered 9.38 miles."

Richard Attoe

"A great Sierra for hiking with many options for putting an interesting walk together. We hiked via the San Cristóbal route up to the Peña de Orihuela, then hiked towards La Cruz de la Muela but went down the "kattegat" shoot. This is a more challenging way down than the longer official route.
We had to negotiate a path with an incredible amount of procession caterpillars earlier, and they were out of their nests already! (29 January 2020) Care is due!"
