Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Parque Marítimo César Manrique for its beautiful, well-maintained saltwater pools and unique architecture inspired by César Manrique. It's seen as a peaceful urban oasis offering great value. However, some find the unheated seawater too cold, and occasionally limited pool availability or lack of lockers can be a drawback.

"A lovely and peaceful park in the center of Santa Cruz. We visited in the afternoon and really enjoyed the shaded paths, tropical plants, and calm atmosphere. The place is very clean and well maintained. There are lots of benches, beautiful fountains, and even a small café for a quick coffee.

What really stood out were the amazing public swimming pools nearby – very clean, spacious, and perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Great for both adults and kids. A perfect mix of nature and relaxation right in the city. Highly recommended if you’re spending time in Santa Cruz!"

"I've been to Santa Cruz, Tenerife quite many times as I happen to love the city. Still this was my first time to Parque Marítimo César.. and I have to say it's a pure pleasure spending the day there... and now I'm there almost every day. Facilities are good and in particular the bathrooms and toilets are excellent.. exceptionally clean and modern.
A perfect place to relax and just enjoy life! 🙏🏻❤️🌿"

Jakob-Pall Johannsson

"The pool landscape is beautifully laid out and clearly the architecture is an attraction by itself.

I went with my kids and their expectation was to have pool fun which was only partly achieved.

1. The water temperature was on the low side. The pools are filled with unheated filtered sea water and in April the temperature was just bearable for my older daughter but too cold for my younger daughter.

2. Only one of the pools was open today, though appearantly this was due to renovation just being completed and might change soon. My younger daughter did not have a good play area, as the water in that pool was at least 1,40m deep.

3. We couldn't find lockers or a changing room. I changed in the men's room and a gentleman offered nicely to watch our belongings and the pool was not busy today, so it worked out for us. However your mileage might vary depending on the day and the circumstances.

Entry tickets are really cheap. Staff friendly but limited English. There is a cafeteria which we didn't try. We still liked it because of the architecture and I think when the other bassins open as well it will be great."
