"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A charming historic gem in the heart of Formentera
The Church of Sant Francesc Xavier is a must-see when visiting the island. Built in the 18th century, it served not only as a place of worship but also as a fortress protecting locals from pirate attacks – you can still feel its solid, defensive architecture. The interior is peaceful and beautifully preserved. Don’t miss the selfie point just across the square – a fun and clever way to capture the memory with this iconic site in the background. A lovely stop full of history and atmosphere."

"We visited formentor on Easter 2023. As per the website there was to be a procession at 12pm outside this church. We were there until 11.45- no band came for the processions, asked several people - locals , store vendors of the procession- no one seemed to have a clue over it.
So we left .
Later on we got ti know that the procession took place but the band reached late at around 12.15. What a miss! And sadly no one was aware of the march.
Overall a very beautiful looking church"
