What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa de Meloneras is appreciated for its beautiful promenade, quality dining, and calmer, less windy beach conditions compared to nearby areas. Visitors enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and stunning sunset views. However, some find the beach's mix of sand and stones less ideal, and certain areas can feel quiet, especially outside peak season.
"A beautiful beach just west of the Faro de Maspolomas along the boardwalk. The beach is a bit rocky, but on windy days, it does not get hit as hard as the beach area near Faro de Maspolomas.
Also, there are several restaurants just off the beach."

"I lived on the beach and slept in a sleeping bag for a couple months in 1976 when there was no development there. Directly behind the beach was a tomato farm. A couple hundred metres or so back there was an adobe hut where a guy sold beer, wine, rum and coke. There was a small restaurant on the edge of the beach that was open in the afternoons. I washed dishes there for 300 pesetas a day, a sandwich and a half bottle of wine.
I guess my review is a little dated."

"Nice quiet beach with a solid number of restaurants and ice cream. All that you need is here. Only downside are stones - the beach is mix of stones and sand. Pretty ok during high tide but tricky during low tide. But TBH we ended up on this one each time we wanted to go to a beach on the south of the island - calm winds, sunset over the ocean + not crowded at all in february :)"
