The restored convent complex is rich in its legacy roughly with 12th century origins, 13th century Muslim heritage, before the order of St. Claire took over in the 14th century. Elements include the church, an independent free cultural space for the CajaMurcia foundation, private quarters for the nuns, and the free museum where views of the historic patio can be enjoyed.
The museum offers two distinct levels concentrating on classic religious art and archaeology. While not very extensive, both areas are interesting with quality artifacts, although the archeological side feels partial in some of its educational displays, edging on downplaying the Moorish origins and foundations. Nonetheless, it is an enjoyable experience, and an important cultural experience in the city."

"The museum itself is not very big. You can enter for free. The patio is really beautiful with the water in the middle. We visited close to christmas so we were lucky to visit the huge ‘belen’ spanish for nativity scene. The entire travel of Joseph and Maria was captured here. Nice to see for children, but adults as well. There are donation boxes to contribute to the maintanance."
