What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa de la Fontanilla is a beautiful, sandy beach with clean, shallow waters, praised for its amenities like showers, beachfront dining, and shopping. While it can get crowded, especially on weekends, many find it a convenient and enjoyable spot. Some visitors have noted inconsistent service at restaurants, particularly for tourists, but the overall appeal of the location remains high.
"The last beach, before Marbella old town, it has the paved promenade as its frontage, this area , can get very busy with walkers, and beachgoers as there are many cafes and restaurants to enjoy, we especially love the shade of the vegetation."

"I'm really disappointed with this restaurant, they made us wait 2 hours without eating or drinking. We asked them for a table for 3, they gave us a table for two. The service is horrible, they only care about locals and not tourists. We asked to take away because we were already tired. They refused and forced us to eat there. The food was not well cooked. Other people complained about the service and food that they had not even eaten and they even forced them to pay. The servers are clearly racist, they added things that we did not even order and force us to pay. I don't understand why there are so many good reviews and yet the service and food are horrible. I'm really disappointed. If you go to Spain don't go there."

"Beautiful Beach, occasionally overcrowded but it applies to all Marbella beaches during the tourist peak, and especially over the weekends. You can choose between renting a sunbad and sunbrella (the package costs 18 EUR per day), or you can bring your beach towel and enjoy the beach sand."
