What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Museo Nacional de Juegos for its incredible collection of playable retro games and consoles, offering a deeply nostalgic and interactive experience. While some find the ticket price a bit steep and the visit duration restrictive, the opportunity to touch and play decades-old technology, coupled with friendly staff and special exhibitions like LEGO, makes it a highly recommended destination for gamers of all ages.
"One could argue a tad pricey at 21 Euros but for me well worth it. Brought back so much nostalgia and the fact you could touch and play with 40+ year old tech was brilliant. The arcade was great fun playing games of my youth..for free! The Lego exhibition was a bonus.
I visited on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy at all."

"OXO Museo del Videojuego Madrid is a fantastic place for anyone interested in the history of video games. Spread across three floors, the museum showcases every generation of gaming from the 1960s and 70s all the way to the latest PlayStation consoles.
You can try almost everything — from old Commodore computers and classic Sega Machines and Pac-Man games to a wide range of retro and modern systems. There are historical explanations, descriptions, exhibits, and plenty of hands-on gameplay, which is a big plus.
The adult ticket is €21, which I find a bit expensive, and the visit is limited to two hours, which feels somewhat restrictive considering how much there is to see and play.
Overall, I’d give it 4 stars — but for anyone who loves video games, it’s definitely worth a visit."

"Loved it!! You get to play tons of games on every console possible. Staff is extremely friendly as well. The only thing i would mission is that some of the computers and tv were not working and the green button on the guitar hero guitar is not working. But overall such a fun experience!! Great museum."
