What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Corral de la Morería is widely praised for its exceptional flamenco performances and Michelin-starred cuisine, often described as a highlight of Madrid. While most visitors rave about the artistry and food, some mention issues with show start times, seating arrangements, and perceived price discrepancies for tickets.
"My Wife and I visited tonight. We've travelled extensively and came to Madrid with our motorhome yesterday. We were a little anxious visiting this show as we like comfortable, down to earth kind of places but we needn't have worried. It an old, intimate and atmospheric venue. The staff were really great and the food and the show were beyond our wildest expectations. We've really never tasted such good food or experienced such a thrilling show. All the cast were outstanding in their own right and gave it 100% throughout. We were absolutely mesmerised. The combined show and meal ticket was an absolute bargain and that's coming from someone who enjoys a good deal. The show was more extensive than we expected and we're still buzzing 2+ hours later. I'd happily experience it all again. As well seasoned travellers this has been an all time highlight. Highly recommended and thoroughly memorable. A big thank you to all involved"

"tl;dr AVOID AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
✖️ Background information ✖️
I went on a weekday and it was almost full.
I did not eat dinner.
I had a classic cocktail, the price was a bit higher than elsewhere, but it was still reasonably priced compared to real cocktail bars in Madrid.
I was seated in the back at some tall "café tables". The view was fine though. The room is kind of L shaped and the performers, therefore, turn both their front and backs towards you in the audience.
⚠️ They try to cheat you and claim a higher price!
The ticket price on their website was 39.95 EUR.
When I arrived they tell me: "Your lucky there is one ticket. It is 49.95 EUR"
I say: "But the price online is 39.95 EUR?"
Their reply: "It must be a third party website"
I show them the price stated on their own website. It happened to another foreigner sitting next to me, I later found out when talking with him. Eventually, I just paid the price listed on their website.
⚠️ My show was like 60-70 per cent men dancing. I came to see some of the large, lovely flamenco dresses, so I was a bit disappointed.
⚠️ My show was supposed to start at 21.30 but started around 22.00. I am aware of cultural differences, but this places caters tourists and should start on time.
⚠️ When they give you the bill, the prices are without VAT, like you are a business that does not pay VAT. On the bottom of the bill, it sums up with VAT included."

Many visitors describe it as a highlight of their trip to Madrid, emphasizing the raw talent and dedication of the artists.
Some reviews mention a higher proportion of male dancers in certain shows, which might differ from expectations of seeing elaborate flamenco dresses. The staff is noted for being accommodating, willing to make substitutions or adjustments for dietary needs, which is a significant plus for travelers with specific requirements.
