Reviews Summary

Guests frequently praise Casa de las Artes for its stunning, art-filled interiors and the exceptional helpfulness of its staff. The wellness facilities, including the indoor pool, are also highlighted as major positives. However, some visitors find the hotel to be style over substance, citing issues like rooms without windows, a lack of natural light, and inconsistent breakfast and restaurant experiences.

"We stayed 3 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly in the lobby and the front desk, our room was clean, dessert was gifted to us in our room on the first day, and every time we left the room they replaced new bottles of water and when we went to dinner they completed a turndown service in the room. We were never bothered at the wrong time and I loved the tea selection and amenities in the room. Breakfast was Al’s delicious with fresh fruit and main dishes selections. My favorite was the fresh squeezed juices and croissants. Thanks for a great stay!"

"I don’t love this hotel. I’m a Melia Gold member and travel a lot for work so always stay in Melias if I can and this was definitely my most disappointing experience. I stayed here twice on 2 separate occasions in a month. I would describe this hotel as style over substance, it looks nice but misses a lot of basics. My room doesn’t have a window, for example. The whole hotel is dark with no natural light. The pool is opposite the meetings rooms with a big glass wall which creates an odd lack of privacy and I imagine feels very jarring if you’re having a meeting there. The breakfast is lacklustre (they don’t even have basics like scrambled eggs) and the service is slow. They have a system where there is nespresso machines for espresso etc but you can order coffees with milk but nobody ever tells you so all the guests are left feeling a bit confused (and without good coffee) and you had to actively go up and ask to see if they can serve you. They have a breakfast menu you can order from and I ordered eggs and the white was still clear and runny they were so undercooked. The restaurant is overpriced for average food. It definitely doesn’t feel welcoming and it seems like they rely on the design of the hotel (which is very pretty) but have forgotten about all the things that actually make a good stay - good food, good service, good lighting. I had high hopes for this hotel as I am in Madrid twice a month and gave it 2 solid shots but not for me. I need windows. 😂"

"Amazing experience. Hotel is incredibly beautiful throughout and you could spend a whole day just experiencing the facilities and ambiance.

The staff were ALL incredibly nice and helpful. We had an issue where our toilet button stopped working. They sent someone and had the issue resolved in minutes. Unfortunately it did stop working again overnight and they offered to move us to a different upgraded room and leave our luggage in the current room. We luckily were able to get it working again and declined to move, but I was amazed how quickly they were ready to act and able to help.

I’ve traveled the world for years and stayed at many four and five star hotels, and I was amazed how quickly they responded and were ready to help every time.

The breakfast hours could use one or two more waiters during the busier hours in my opinion, but even then there are absolutely no issues.

I truly enjoyed every aspect of my stay."
