Reviews Summary

Casa Dani is a beloved Madrid institution, celebrated for its legendary tortilla de patatas and delicious homemade cheesecake. Visitors praise the authentic flavors, friendly service, and vibrant market atmosphere. While queues can be long, the exceptional food and good value make it a highly recommended stop for any Madrid itinerary.

"Came here three time during my three-day stay in Madrid. Also found out an interesting Phil’s show from the comment.

Service was excellent, always with a big smile. I’d suggest to come in early to avoid the queue during lunch. If the one in the market is busy, you can go out and turn right where there’s another Dani on the Calle Lagasca street.

Tips: Half-portion is enough for one person. Bread tastes better at noon and a bit dry at dinner.

🥇tortilla española: amazing taste with onions, a must try.
🥇Grilled Cuttlefish: goes great with salad.
🥇Oxtail: tender enough to fall off the bone
Croquette: similar to anywhere else
Jamon iberico: why not since you’re already here
Pig’s ear: crunchy but it’s not fully cooked with some redness"

"Have to say, Phil was damn right about this place.

Our first time, didn’t know what to expect, what to order, we just asked them to recommend what they wanted us to experience and just had to be sure it was enough for 2.

Everything suggested and served were amazing!

From their Spanish omelette, to their sous vide artichoke, lamb chops and even their homemade cheesecake!

Definitely a must visit when in Madrid."

"Casa Dani is an absolute gem in the heart of Madrid. The food is authentic, flavorful, and prepared with such care that every dish feels like a true taste of Spain. Their tortilla de patatas is famous for a reason—perfectly cooked, creamy, and unforgettable. And don’t leave without trying the cheesecake,it’s out of this world, easily one of the best you’ll ever taste. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively, with that genuine local charm that makes you feel right at home. Service is attentive and kind, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or a late-night bite, Casa Dani delivers every time. A must-visit spot in Madrid!"
