What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise La Gomera for its unique natural beauty, particularly the ancient laurel forests of Garajonay National Park and dramatic volcanic landscapes. The convenience of day trips from Tenerife is frequently highlighted, with many finding the experience highly rewarding and memorable. However, some reviews mention issues with specific excursion providers or the logistics of fitting everything into a single day.
"Yani was exceptional and made my first time in Tenerife especially being there on my own - beyond special with regards to the 3 excursions I experienced! There was one small hiccup with a a rep through no fault of Yani's and she was swift to rectify and reprimand that individual so a huge thank you to Yani for sorting. Best wishes from Alex - UK 🇬🇧 and I am already missing Tenerife especially Los Cristianos so will be looking at coming back again!"

"Gabi was superb in the detail and attention he gave. He was always available even if he was on his day off. Very happy disposition - he should get a raise. Thoroughly recommend booking with him."

"I am giving La Perla Excursions 1 star due to a terrible incident we experienced with Jet Ski Islands and how La Perla handled the situation. We booked an excursion and faced racial discrimination, were shouted at, and even threatened with police involvement for allegedly "harassing" the staff member (long hair, moustache, Italian)at Jet Ski Islands all because we were 10mins late to the briefing. We reached out to Miguel at La Perla for help, hoping he would intervene and speak to the company on our behalf, but he simply dismissed our concerns.
When we requested a refund since we were not allowed to use the jet skis, Miguel did not support us as customers. Instead, he sent us sweet-sounding voice notes on WhatsApp and only offered a partial refund of €20 to be shared among the three of us, which is insulting given we paid a total of €240.
There are many excursion companies in Tenerife, and we chose to book with La Perla, expecting a positive experience. However, when we were treated poorly by a partner company, La Perla failed to protect us or offer any reasonable alternatives, showing that they care more about money than their customers.
We will back to Tenerife and will not be using La Perla’s services again, and we urge others to avoid them as well. We ended up using another company for a much lower price and finally enjoyed our jet ski experience without any issues."
