"We visited Teide National Park and took the Teide Cable Car for the sunset climb—it was one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences we’ve ever had!
My wife and I bought tickets for the sunset ride, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like we were on another planet. The scenery on the way to the cable car was breathtaking—volcanic landscapes, endless views, and a sense of adventure in the air.
The cable car ride itself was smooth and exciting, filled with adrenaline and joy. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, answering all our questions and making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable.
At the top, the view was absolutely stunning. Watching the sunset above the clouds was a magical moment we’ll never forget. Just a small tip: it’s much colder up there, so dress warmly and be prepared for a short but slightly challenging hike.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tenerife—this is a must-do experience!"

"Excellent views across the whole island once you get to the summit station, with a few easy walks to do. The actual cable car journey takes about 10 min in each direction and was pretty crowded, but fine. Parking was busy but there were spaces. There is a cafe at the bottom which is nothing special but ok for getting coffee, drinks or sandwiches; the ice creams are strongly recommended!"

"Excellent service and well organised, did not wait at all. We had tickets online as well a booked hike to the top. It is easy walk up there if you do not climb the top. The views are amazing!"

Planning Your Teide Cable Car Visit
Consider the Teide Cable Car price when budgeting for your trip. While the ride itself is relatively short (about 8-10 minutes each way), the experience offers unparalleled views. The Teide Cable Car base station is equipped with a cafe offering refreshments and ice cream, a welcome amenity for visitors. Ample parking is available, though it can get busy, particularly during popular times.
When planning your visit, be aware of the Teide Cable Car operating hours, which can vary seasonally. The Teide Cable Car cost is a significant factor for many, so comparing options and booking ahead can help manage expenses. The Teide Cable Car booking process is straightforward online, ensuring you don't miss out on this iconic Tenerife experience.
Summit Experience and Hiking
For those seeking to reach the absolute summit of Pico del Teide, a separate permit is required. This permit must be obtained in advance from the national park authorities and allows access to the crater. Without this permit, the cable car only takes you to the upper station, from which you can explore the accessible areas around it.
Remember that the Teide by car journey to the base station is part of the adventure, and the summit experience is enhanced by being prepared for the conditions. The air is thin, and the temperature can be significantly colder than at sea level, so warm clothing is a must, even on sunny days.
