I visited the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez as an excursion where we got to see horses training, the tack room and a house where the founder lived. The movement is magical.

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Royal Andalusian School for its stunning performances featuring magnificent Andalusian horses and skilled riders. The artistry, tradition, and the evident well-being of the horses are frequently highlighted as unforgettable aspects of the experience. Some note that while photography is common, it can be distracting, and suggest prioritizing enjoying the moment.

"Offers a truly unique and stunning performance with magnificent horses. It’s well worth the trip from Seville to witness the elegance and skill of these wonderful creatures and their riders. An unforgettable experience for anyone visiting the region."

Vassilis Efstathiou

"An experience like no other where artistry meets tradition meets animal husbandry. You can tell the horses are pleased with themselves if you keep watching as they leave the arena!

I recommend you get there as early as possible to explore the grounds and the exhibitions before the show. Time flies by.

Two points;

if you are a horsey person and own/ride them, then the shop has some nice branded kit although some (but not all) is a bit expensive. It's hard to say no!!

It's a shame (despite the photos below) that the venue no longer enforces its no video/no photos rule. The ladies in front of us on the front row watched 50% of the show through their camera screens and it was quite distracting. Oddly at one point one lady had a horse pass right in front of her.. but she was watching her screen on wide angle so it looked far away! See how I was distracted.

Anyway, it's a must do on your Jerez visit.. but please enjoy the moment & limit your camera time😡"

"I bought a VIP ticket for my wife's birthday and it was worth every penny. We had a really knowledgeable guide for two hours plus visits to the palace, stables, museum and a VIP seat to watch the professional riders training and practicing. When the guide spoke of equestrian topics, horses and the education provided by the school he became beautifully animated, his enthusiasm clear to us both. A truly wonderful experience, one that will be with us for ever."
