"Great hike, about 8.5 km, and 450 m descent/ascent of which 350 m are rather steep and on rough terrain. Good hiking shoes are essential but poles are optional. The way down is demanding concentration wise and the way up endurance wise. It took me about 2 hours round trip. The views are spectacular, but the best part is the tranquility of the undisturbed nature once you reach the bottom. The path goes over the ancient lava flows so you can observe various structures such as lava tubes. Recommended!"

"One of the best hikes in Lanzarote heading to one of its best beaches. I would recommend this hike to everyone with a good fit of any age. Kids can also go with their parents. Wearing good shoes is important on the way down because the path is slippery due to the presence of little rounded stones along the whole descent. For sure coming up is easier and you can manage the one way path in less than one hour if you want to stop to take some wonderful pics. The beach down is named Playa del Risco. It Is Amazing and it is possible to swim there even during the windy days. Almost desert all the times, everyone will enjoy this fantastic natural spot. The parking at the top is good. It is advisable not to leave any valuables in the car but I did not experience any issues like all the cars which were parked there. The
path is well indicated but on the way back do not go further to the right because the path is intersecting with another one heading toward the Famara valley which is anyway another good hiking opportunity. I posted a pic showing the intersection with two walkers on the right path. Hope this helps."

"Love the view and the path is worth it. I did the 'hike' in my slippers (don't ask) so I wouldn't consider it super hard, I would recommend closed shoes though to be a bit faster but as I said I did it in birkenstocks so it's possible if you do alot of hikes/are athletic, just be careful but you also need to be careful with closed shoes as you essentially walk on moving rocks. Took me about 40 mins down, 30 mins back up. Go back up for the sunset (also to not be stuck in the dark on the path)."
