If I could catapult myself anywhere right now it would be here... we had a wonderful stay at @genesis_cave_houses 🤍 We stayed for 3 nights in Oia to soak up the blue domed vistas and optimum sunset-viewing spots before moving on to Firostefani (just outside Fira) for 4 nights at the end of our #GreekIslandHopping trip ⛴ I would 100% recommend doing that, as both areas are beautiful within their ...

"My Fiancé and I went to visit Gaudix. It’s a very interesting town. There’s a barrio where people live underground in stuco walled houses built in to the local mountains. If you’re planning on visiting I’d recommend Casa Jose. He’s a very friendly guy who welcomes visitors in to his home with open arms. It’s free of charge but you can give him a donation if you please. We would recommend visiting the area but be weary of visiting other houses in this area. We were talking to one of the locals as we were trying to get directions to the mirador. He then wanted to invite us in to his house so we accepted. We thought he was doing it out of generosity but after he showed us around he was really adamant about us giving him money. We first thought it was a bit strange because he was very friendly at first. Then he kept asking for more and more money. We ended up playing him 10 euros. So we would recommend just visiting the museum, the barrio, casa de Jose, and the mirador there. We would recommend staying away from the smaller local streets. It’s okay to walk or drive around there but we would recommend just visiting the area near the church and school."
