What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Casa de la Cultura an interesting architectural space and a valuable hub for local culture, often hosting free or low-cost events like exhibitions and concerts. While some note signs of neglect and limited English proficiency, the friendly staff and diverse programming are frequently praised.
"Architecturally the building is interesting inside and worth a look, despite it looking like the fitout was abandoned before completion.
There's an exhibition space to the right as you walk into the lobby and the lecture rooms are on the second and third floor. The receptionists speak minimal English so have your translator ready if you need it.
It's showing signs of obvious neglect as the council doesn't seem to want to spend any money on it, so damaged doors and windows haven't been fixed,- which is a shame as the staff and friendly and it really does deserve to be treated better than it is."
