What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dunas de San Antón is praised for its excellent location near the beach and pleasant pine forest setting, with spotless facilities and helpful staff. However, some visitors find the campsite excessively expensive for the services provided, and occasional noise disturbances and inconsistent water temperatures are noted drawbacks.
"This is a fantastic site if you are visiting Cadiz. The site is 25 minutes from the ferry to Cadiz make sure you purchase an Andalusian travel card and put a few euros on the card to save on the travel across the bay more than 50% extra without the card.
We found the facilities spotless and cleaned several times a day.
The staff member at reception was very helpful even although she was very busy.
Also it's just a short walk to the beach from the campsite entrance"
Ian McIntosh
"Very nice campsite with pitches in a pine forest. However, I found it excessively expensive. I have never paid so much for a night at a campsite. While the campsite is overall quite charming, the price does not match the services provided.
On the positive side, there are many staff members patrolling at night, which is a good point. However, they don’t necessarily stop people from making noise after 11 p.m.
I’ll let you see the invoice paid for two nights in a caravan with two adults and a dog. I repeat, I have never paid such a high price before."
Stefano Botrugno
"A terrible stench hung over the square. It smelled as if someone had emptied their toilet. The stench wasn't permanent. It came with the wind. The stench was truly disgusting. The site is large. It's quite possible that the stench on other plots won't be noticeable."
