The watchtower and surrounding buildings are highlights, with free parking adding to its appeal. Some visitors note the presence of litter, a common issue in some Spanish locations, and the lack of public restrooms.
"As we're only half an hours drive from Sagunto, it's an easy and pleasant place to take our Nature loving family when they visit, and our dog enjoys a walk here in the cooler weather. Free parking....and a cabin that sells icecream and soft drinks. No public conveniences. No pre booking required."
Deborah Hussey-Welsby
"Worth a visit if wild camping, very quiet, more like a ghost village.... Unfortunately there are the typical volumes of detritus laid around that you will always see in Spain.."
Jamie CURRIE
"We were back to Grau Vell using the touristic train provided by Sagunto Turismo. We reserved our spots while ago to do the Sunday Tour. The Guide was David Garcia Muñoz, an architect who is an official Guide with Comunitat Valenciana. The train went from Puerto de Sagunto Industrial blast furnace crossing the Maritime Port and industrial area. The guide provided a detailed description of the ancient port, although the archeological site is close. We went to the almost restored areas of the tower and related buildings. It will be great when they open to the public."
