Reviews Summary
Aqualand El Arenal offers a fun day out with thrilling slides and dedicated kids' areas, though some visitors found the ride selection limited compared to other parks. Pricing for last-minute bookings and fast passes can be a point of contention, especially during less busy periods. Despite these drawbacks, the park is generally clean and well-maintained, making it a worthwhile visit for families and thrill-seekers looking for water-based entertainment in Mallorca.
"Overall, a great day of fun. By the end of the day, I was on my knees. The reason I am giving it a 4 stars is for the following reasons:
- They yield prices. Meaning if you tend to book last minute online (e.g. for the next 48h) you’ll pay more. Whilst this is not an unusual practice, I found it annoying that prices went up despite the park being relatively empty when we went. Same thing happened with the fast pass we booked to skip the queues for most of the rides. Prices start from 8€ and when we booked it was selling for 20€. One would assume it was because the park was busy and so they were selling it at a higher price. In the end we wasted 40€ thinking the pass would be helpful when the park was virtually empty. Most of the time there was no queue and so using the fast lane made little difference. On a busy day, I’d argue the fast pass would definitely be worth it
- I was underwhelmed by the number of rides. While all of them were fun, I was expecting a lot more for an Aquapark. The ones in the hotels I both stayed at Sharm El Sheikh and Marrakech had way more to choose from.
On the positive side, the park is relatively clean and kept in good conditions. I was glad to pre-book my lunch deal online as it did save me a few euros and to my surprise, the pizza we each got was full size!
Note that parking costs 7euros and so does the lockers. Lockers are somewhat small and would only fit one bag pack and 2 towels. You can pay for lockers using phone or card (I think cash was also accepted). The system will automatically assign you a locker number and a 6 digit PIN number. Make sure to memorise it. I wouldn’t be surprised if many forget theirs.
Despite some of the negatives I listed, I think it’s still worth a visit if you want a day out with the kids for some fun."

"We were a couple of 2 who bought the fast pass. The rides are quite fun but sometimes painful. Also the lockers are very small so you have to buy 1 per person (€7). Luckily we took our own food with us because a menu is €16.
I couldn't imagine how bad the experience would be without the fast pass though.. I didn't feel guilty using it, but felt sorry for their experience waiting in line.
Buy tickets online 2 days in advance to get a €2 discount.
I first put 3 stars but now 1 star because they do face recognition without clear warning for photos."

"It was amazing 🤩. The best water park ever. The food was delicious the slides were sooooo fun. My little brother could go on like 20 slides or more. I could go on all of the slides. The best one was one with a red snake with a drop on the end and my other favourite one is a blue and yellow one. more like a superrr long slip and slide. We bought fast pass it was very good to have because the normal cues were long. We went on a Saturday and it wasn’t so busy just a little. You should definitely go there super fun 🤩"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make your family day smoother, consider packing plenty of snacks and drinks, as food inside can be pricey. Lockers are available but are often small, so you might need more than one for your family's gear. Booking tickets online in advance is also a good idea to secure your spot and potentially save money.
👫 Young Couples & Thrill-Seekers
Consider visiting during the shoulder seasons (late May or September) for a more relaxed experience with fewer crowds. This allows you to enjoy the rides more frequently without long waits. While the park might not have as many rides as some international counterparts, the quality and thrill of the available slides are generally well-regarded.
💰 Budget Travelers
Carefully assess whether a fast pass is necessary for your visit. If you're going on a weekday outside of peak season, you might find that queues are minimal, making the extra expense unnecessary. Arriving early can also help you experience popular rides before the crowds build up.

Navigating Queues and Fast Passes
If you decide against a fast pass, strategic planning is essential. Arriving early, right when the park opens, is a great way to experience popular rides with minimal waiting. Alternatively, visiting during the shoulder seasons like late May or September can mean significantly fewer people and shorter queues throughout the day. Some visitors found that even on a Sunday at the end of May, there were no queues, making the fast pass unnecessary.
Remember that the cost of the fast pass can fluctuate. It's wise to check prices online in advance, as last-minute purchases might be more expensive. Balancing the cost of the fast pass against the potential time saved is crucial for a satisfying visit.
Budgeting Your Day at Aqualand El Arenal
Food and drinks inside the park can add up. While the park offers dining options, including surprisingly good full-size pizzas, some visitors found the prices to be on the higher side, with a meal deal costing around €16. To save money, consider packing your own lunch and snacks. This is a common strategy among budget-conscious travelers and families.
When it comes to tickets, booking online at least two days in advance is highly recommended. This not only secures your entry but can also offer a discount of a few euros compared to on-the-day prices. The cost of a fast pass also varies, so weigh its potential benefits against its price, especially if you're visiting during a less busy period.
Family Fun and Kid-Friendly Attractions
Beyond the dedicated kids' zones, many of the larger slides are also accessible to children, provided they meet the height and age requirements. One reviewer mentioned their little brother being able to go on over 20 slides, highlighting the park's suitability for a wide range of ages. The park aims to provide a fun-filled day for the entire family, with options for both thrill-seekers and those who prefer a more relaxed experience.
When planning a family visit, consider the locker situation. As lockers can be small, you might need to rent multiple to accommodate everyone's belongings. Also, while the park has food options, bringing some of your own snacks or drinks can be helpful for picky eaters or to manage costs.
