"Centrally located in the Old Town this hotel offers guests comfortable rooms and bathrooms in a very pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is in an Old Palace making it an interesting stay. Breakfast is buffet style with a variety of options. One thing that the management has to pay attention is the a/c in the rooms which fails to properly cool the atmosphere making it quietly difficult to spend the night. I suggest they should have in stock a few fans to offer guests while the they upgrade the equipment. Worth mentioning is that all the employees did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable."

"¿ I want to share my recent experience at the hotel, which was quite disappointing for a 4-star establishment.
First, during breakfast, I noticed a cockroach in the toaster, which another guest killed right in front of me. I didn't mention it at the time as l've had positive experiences with NH in the past. Later, I discovered that I had left my Apple Watch behind. The staff didn't inform me about it until I tracked its location, at which point they had no choice but to admit they had it.
When I asked for assistance in retrieving my watch, the staff showed little willingness to help. They told me to find a delivery company myself. As I am not from Spain, I requested recommendations, and they provided me with two companies to arrange my own pickup and delivery.
I'm more than willing to pay for this service, but I am disappointed that a hotel of this caliber would not facilitate the arrangement.
Additionally, there was no water available at reception, despite there being a water station. When I asked for some, an older staff member was unhelpful and directed me to the restaurant to buy a bottle, which was not possible since I had my dog with me. Fortunately, a younger staff member who appeared to be in training kindly went and got some water for me.
Overall, I expected a higher level of service from a 4-star hotel."

A Stay in History: The Palace Experience
While the palace setting is a significant appeal, it's important to note that historic buildings can sometimes present unique challenges. Some reviews mention that the air conditioning struggled to cool rooms effectively during extreme heat, a common issue in older structures. However, the staff's dedication to guest comfort, even in such situations, is frequently praised. The central location within the old town further enhances the historical immersion, placing guests right at the heart of Cáceres' rich past.
Navigating Guest Experiences: Service and Amenities
However, some reviews point to areas where service could be improved. One notable incident involved a lost Apple Watch and a perceived lack of proactive assistance from staff in its retrieval and return, which was disappointing for a 4-star establishment. Another guest mentioned issues with the air conditioning, though the staff's efforts to mitigate discomfort were acknowledged. Despite these isolated incidents, the overall sentiment leans positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return due to the hotel's location, comfort, and the staff's general attentiveness.
