I started to love hiking in Tenerife 💚 - Barranco del Infierno (= The hell ravine) - ☆ Duration: appox. 3 hours (round trip) ☆ Its better to go early in the morning. Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of Barranco del Infierno, highlighting the dramatic landscape changes and the rewarding waterfall finale. The well-maintained trail is appreciated, though some find the entrance staff less than welcoming. Booking in advance is essential for this popular, protected natural reserve.

"The experience was great! I suggest to arrive early around 08:30 so that you reach the waterfall at the end of the trail without other people disturbing you and you can enjoy the quietness and the nature. In this way it won’t be also that hot 👍 I was impressed by the canyon/barranco and by the nature, you cross sometimes a small river. All amazing!"

Gabriella Enzler

"We really enjoyed this hike. As casual hikers, we found the trail easy to manage. The path is well maintained and clearly marked, taking you along the cliff side, through a serene gorge with a gentle stream, and ending at a small waterfall. We spotted lizards, wagtails, partridges, and frogs: a lovely touch of nature.
The only downside, to be honest, was the staff at the entrance: unfriendly and disengaged, which felt out of place, especially considering the fact that we're paying customers.
Still, a great experience overall!"

Thijs Dekeukeleire

"This is an amazing hike! It stretches 8.5 km (about 5 miles). The trail is groomed and very well maintained. It teaverses along a beautiful valley and then descends to a deciduous valley trail that culminates at the waterfall. You do need a reservation, and leave some time to figure out parking. The restaurant is a great place to grab a bite after the hike. This was a fabulous way to spend the morning!"
