Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Església de Sant Bartomeu for its striking neo-Gothic architecture and its central location in the charming town of Sóller. Many highlight its beauty as a backdrop for photos and its integration into the lively Plaça Constitució. Some reviews mention it being closed during visits, suggesting checking opening times.

"The great church of Capdepera is dedicated to the apostle Sant Bartomeu (Saint Bartholomew).
This newly built church, blessed in 1840, is located in the lower part of the town and was declared a parish church in 1913.
It is neoclassical in style, rectangular in plan, with a single nave and side chapels.
It houses the altarpiece from the now-defunct Palma church of the Holy Spirit, which belonged to the Order of the Holy Trinity (Order of Trinitarians), currently occupied by the Church of San Felipe Neri in the city of Palma.
Fortunately, the valuable altarpiece was moved to this church, preventing its loss and destruction during the Mendizábal confiscation of 1835.
The church of Capdepera is of considerable size and contains works of great artistic and religious value.
Inside the grounds of Capdepera Castle is the original 14th-century church, the Oratory of Our Lady of Hope.
The Church of Sant Bartomeu is well worth a visit and is a good place for prayer."

Javier Caro Munar

It dates back to the 19th century and is located in the lower part of the town, near where the market is located. It's a pleasant walk.
It's neoclassical in style, rectangular in plan, with a single nave and side chapels.
It's a very large church, inviting contemplation and prayer."
