"A nice area to wander around & have a drink or a meal - we didn’t go in, not sure if you can. Lots of lovely shaded areas with places selling the local wines & cheeses. Car free & very peaceful on a Tuesday lunchtime."

"We went for the self guided tour of the palace and gardens. The guide comes online and there are numbers for each part. As there was a tour going on we started with the gardens and did the interiors later. We actually had to come back after lunch to complete the tour as we took so long exploring the gardens but the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is worth taking the time in the vineyard to go and see the fountain and tower at the far end of the vineyard. We actually went up the tower although I am not sure that you are supposed to and it was full of cobwebs as well as a little overgrown. The views are worth it. It is a bit confined and steep as all medieval stairs. The gardens are accessed by a beautiful bridge and there are also more vines. The forest is a place of tranquility before coming back to the distillery. The inside of the palace has done interesting features such as the painted wall paper and an 1800s board game. Then I would recommend trying some of the liqueurs. The orange and Albariño flavours are particularly good. The blue Marine flavour is very unusual with a touch of salt as well as floral tastes"

"My wife and I spent an enjoyable 45 minutes wandering through the palace plus it's vineyard and orchard. The self-paced tour uses an app. Numbered signs along the way tell you which recording to listen to. It works. I didn't find the history of the families associated with the palace very interesting and was disappointed that the grounds weren't better maintained."
