Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the abundant flamingos and the scenic 2.4 km circular walk around the lagoon, highlighting the unique landscape. While facilities are minimal, the accessibility and natural beauty make it a worthwhile stop for nature lovers and photographers.

"It's on the 2.4 km circular route around the lagoon which is definitely worth doing. The star attraction is the large groups of flamingos sometimes feeding or with their fighting displays in between their siestas! They ate there in greatest numbers between June and September but I saw a lot of them still there in December. There are lots of other birdlife too from the ring plover, egrets and herons. The views are unusual as you can see the rock peninsular in between giant blocks of faceless concrete flats with mountains in the distance. It's easy to walk there as it's flat or park nearby,"

Mark Auchincloss

"Besides watching the flamingos and the trail, it has an interesting geological history. It also once was used for salt production. Parking is right along the avenue which you can then take a short walk to beach."

G Griff

"Nice to see, the flamingos were plentiful in the day I was there."
