Cala Pi is a breathtakingly beautiful cove, often described as a hidden gem with stunning turquoise waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Visitors appreciate its tranquil morning atmosphere and the scenic descent via stairs. However, it can get very crowded, especially in the afternoon, and amenities on the beach are limited, requiring visitors to bring their own supplies.
"Cala Pi is a charming and romantic little cove. Going around 9 AM makes parking easy, and the water is calm and crystal clear in the morning. On both of my visits, the sea became wavier and less clear toward the late afternoon, so mornings are definitely the best time to swim. You reach the beach by walking down a set of stairs, which adds to the feeling of discovering a hidden gem. Just remember that if you need food, drinks, or supplies, you’ll need to climb back up to the small shops and cafés nearby. It’s a lovely, relaxing spot to enjoy nature and the sea."

"Incredible spot with great snorkeling. Although there is a boating Lane that you have to avoid to get to the good snorkeling spots, the beach is quite crowded at peak hours. Make sure to grab some food and drinks before you head down to the beach cuz there's not really much of an option once you get down there, although there are some restaurants nearby. This is a very kid-friendly Beach with lots of families."

Regardless of your chosen method, the final approach to the beach involves descending a set of stairs, which adds to the charm but requires a degree of physical mobility. Planning your travel time and considering these factors will ensure a smoother visit to this beautiful cove.
The Cala Pi Experience: From Descent to Dip
Once on the beach, the sand is noted to be quite firm, and the water is shallow for a considerable distance, requiring a walk of about 100 meters before it reaches waist depth. The water quality is exceptional, particularly in the morning, described as calm and crystal clear, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. However, as the day progresses into the late afternoon, the sea can become wavier and less clear.
It's crucial to note that amenities directly on the beach are minimal. Snorkeling and Exploring the Waters of Cala Pi
While the snorkeling is rewarding, it's important to be aware of the designated boating lane. This lane is essential for the safe passage of boats entering and leaving the cove. Snorkelers should steer clear of this area to avoid any accidents and to fully enjoy the calmer, more secluded spots for observation.
The bay itself is long and suitable for leisurely exploration, even for those not actively snorkeling. The gentle slope of the seabed means that even a short distance from the shore, the water remains relatively shallow, making it accessible for a wide range of swimmers.
