What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tibidabo Amusement Park is widely praised for its breathtaking panoramic views of Barcelona and its charming, historic rides that offer a nostalgic experience. Visitors appreciate the unique blend of a vintage amusement park and a significant religious landmark. However, some find the journey to the top a bit complex, and ticket prices can be a consideration for budget travelers.
"Tibidabo Amusement Park is such a fun and unique experience. It sits high above Barcelona, so even before you get on a ride, the views alone are worth the trip absolutely stunning panoramic views of the entire city and the Mediterranean Sea.
The park itself has a mix of classic, vintage rides and newer attractions, which gives it a really charming, old-school feel. It’s not a massive thrill park like Disneyland, but it has a lot of character and is perfect for a fun day out. The iconic Ferris wheel and the plane ride are must-dos, especially for the photos!
Getting there takes a little effort with the funicular, but it’s part of the adventure and totally worth it. Great spot for families, couples, or anyone who wants a memorable experience with gorgeous scenery. A magical place above Barcelona! 🎡✨"

"Tibidabo is a beautiful amusement park on top of a mountain. At it’s peak there is a cathedral that you can visit, allowing you to go to the top of the building to have an amazing view over Barcelona. The admission fee is also very cheap. Don’t expect top of the line thrilling attractions on the top level (lower level attractions require an additional ticket if they are open). Top level attractions are solely focused on giving you a great view. With that being said, I highly recommend going here when you’re visiting Barcelona."

"Excellent panaromic view of Barcelona . Must go before setting of the sun so you will see both golden hours and night view of the city.
If you have kiddo will love that place because this place is also a amusement park.
Grab a coffee (only 2 euros at buffet) and enjoy the view.
We used funiculare to get there and it is very comfy way to reach top. It is 13.5 euros."

Navigating to Tibidabo: A Traveler's Guide
For those seeking a more direct option, the TibiBus shuttle service operates from Plaça Catalunya directly to Tibidabo when the park is open, offering a convenient, albeit sometimes more crowded, alternative. Some travelers also enjoy hiking parts of the route, offering a more active way to experience the mountain's natural beauty, though this requires good physical condition and planning. It's crucial to check the operating hours for all modes of transport, as schedules can vary, especially outside of peak season.

Capturing Tibidabo: Photography Tips
When photographing the iconic Temple of the Sacred Heart, consider different angles to showcase its grandeur. The church itself is a stunning subject, and its elevated position offers unique perspectives. For the vintage rides, like the Airplane or the Carousel, focus on capturing their nostalgic charm and the joy they bring to visitors. Look for interesting details, motion blur to convey movement, or candid shots of people enjoying the attractions.
For those interested in more advanced shots, like capturing the moon behind the temple, meticulous planning using photography apps is key. Remember to also capture the journey up the mountain, as the views from the funicular and bus are also quite scenic. Always be mindful of other visitors and park regulations when taking photos.
