"It’s extremely hot. I don’t recommend visiting on August month. The Castle itself is alright. There’s an ongoing construction so it was kind of noisy. The view is amazing, which we can still see without going inside the Castle as the route is uphill. We opted for the general admission. We would’ve probably enjoyed it more and understood the history if we did the guided tour.

"It’s an enjoyable experience with a lovely atmosphere. The view from the top is fantastic, and the photos you can take from the teleferic are amazing. To get there, take the metro from Catalunya to Paral•lel, then walk through the station until you reach Parc de Montjuïc using same metro ticket, where you can catch the teleferic. You'll need to buy tickets for the teleferic at the ticket office there, and if you plan to explore inside the castle and go to the upper levels, you’ll need separate tickets for that from inside. However, if you just want to enjoy the surroundings and the castle from the outside, there’s no ticket required. Make sure to soak in the weather, atmosphere, and stunning views while you’re there!"

"Great castle, although it's being refurbished at the moment, so there are a good bit of construction areas. Current heat wave aside, the gardens and landscaped moats are fantastic with good seating for a rest, and since I am visiting mid-week, it's not crowded at all. Spend the extra 3 euros and do the guided tour for extra history narratives on the castle!"
