What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Barcelona Cathedral for its stunning Gothic architecture and the serene beauty of its cloisters. The rooftop views are a major draw, offering a unique perspective of the city. Some find the admission fee a bit high for the overall experience compared to other attractions, and queues can be long without advance booking.
"Beautiful dominant cathedral. In the afternoon it is beautifully illuminated by the sun's rays. The square is full of people, which is something to be expected in front of this beautiful building. We had not bought tickets, we came to the cathedral by chance. We returned again on Saturday and there were also antique stalls in front of the cathedral."

"We really enjoyed our impromptu visit to the cathedral. Being up on the roof was great! Amazing views...we could see the whole of Montjuic from the roof of the cathedral, out to the beach area and all across the city.
There was also a VR experience as part of visit...that was very cool.
We were also fortunate enough the be there at the time of the festival of corpus christi ...it was fab to be able to join in part of the open air mass and then watch the parade that happened through the city. Amazing to see how another culture celebrate faith and community"

"Beautiful cathedral and definitely worth buying a ticket to go inside!
One thing to note especially for summer visitors, you have to dress modestly, i had my shoulders exposed and they did ask me to cover them while i was inside. They have scarfs you can rent for €3 inside, thankfully i had a shirt to wear and didn’t have to rent but just remember before visiting!
They do let you go to the rooftop of the cathedral and it is amazing. Beautiful panoramic views of the city and you can pretty much spend as much time as you want up there!
You don’t not have to cover up when you’re up there just inside the cathedral!
Definitely worth the visit!"
