"I love this place!
Carbayedo Park is located in the square of the same name, very close to Ferrera Park and the emblematic Galiana Street. The origins of this green area are linked to the Carbayedo family, who donated the land for public use and the holding of markets (which continued until 1970). From that time, an old cattle trough remains, located in a corner of the park.
The park has grassy areas, a children's play area, and lush vegetation consisting mainly of willows, plane trees, and oaks. The most significant tree (which gives the park and square its name) is an ancient oak tree, which is said to have been planted by Severo Ochoa himself.
Another distinctive feature of this park is the hórreo (granary), installed in 1972 from Trasona, as well as the statue entitled "El Tratante" (The Trader), by Amado González Hevia, "Favila.""

"A large, rather dirty and neglected square. Its large granary stands out, a wooden structure raised on four pillars that was used to store grain. It's a shame it's so dirty and poorly maintained."
