The climb is considered worthwhile, offering a sense of accomplishment and beautiful scenery. Some visitors noted that nearby churches might have limited opening hours.
"I went there on another excursion, with TUI tours, a full day - I got to roam the market, walk through the square and up to the church - Marcelle (driver) & Gabriel (guide) were great so thank you both for a very enjoyable day."
Laura Halpenny
"We only visited the courtyard. We liked the church of Santa Maria d'Arta a little more. At the time we were in the process of reconstructing the staircase, otherwise these buildings can be reached by stairs and you don't have to go around on the road. Unfortunately, there are only public toilets in the castle."
Tereza Krajíčková
"Very nice fortified church on the top of a small city. Make sure you park behind the hill so you can take a nice walk, up to the castle. There is no entry fee. You can visit the church ( Transfiguracion del Senyor ) or just admire the view from the towers. The colours of sunset were amazing. If you enter from the back gate you will walk down the stairs which leads you directly to the Santa Maria D`Arta church ( unfortunatly it was closed already when we visited )."
