Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Archena Spa for its extensive thermal pools, cleanliness, and beautiful natural setting. Many highlight the relaxing atmosphere and the historical significance of the site. However, some guests have encountered unfriendly staff and found the on-site dining options to be limited or lacking in variety.
"We booked a couple plus Balneario in the spa for a Thursday daytime.
I tried to book online but the website wasn’t working properly and didn’t allow me to book, I tried to call the English speaking number, unfortunately no one answered the ringing telephone.
I got in touch with the spa via WhatsApp and was answered very quickly, I asked for someone who can speak English as
Afraid I do not speak Spanish. Someone came on within a minute or two, they answered all of my queries, checked availability and booked the spa deal for me. There was a check my credit card worked with a 1 cent withdrawal and refund and I was told I would pay on arrival. All
Costs were very clear, I was told to bring a padlock, flip flops and swimming hat with me, if I didn’t have them I could purchase upon arrival.
We arrived, parked and walked in, I was greeted by a lovely lady at reception who asked an English speaking colleague to assist me, everything was very straightforward and we had no issues.
We went into the spa, got changed locked everything away and headed off to the massage, what a wonderful place!
We loved it, needed up spending 7 hours in the spa/pool area. Everything was very clean and well maintained, every member of staff was helpful and polite, even the maintenance guys we saw checking the pool said hello and smiled at us.
Everything was working, we had no problems or issues at all.
The cafe by the pool was not expensive.
We will be coming back next year and will be telling everyone we know to come.
Thank you for an amazing day out!"

"This is a place we go to regularly on day trips, as we live close enough not to need to stay in the hotels. The pools are amazing and the food in the restaurant is great. Staff are lovely, especially if you try your best spanish on them. Would thoroughly recommend"

"The staff was very unfriendly. The young blonde lady at the reception didn't bother to be courteous or friendly, wouldn't tell us about the possibility of renting bathrobes, didn't care if we had any children and elderly people with us ( and we did) , she wouldn't show us around, didn't explain the options, super cold and unwelcoming. She literally did nothing except throw the locker keys at us and demand the extra 5 euros and the bathing caps, for €6, which we already brought with us . The thermal spas outside were clean and we'll maintained. The location is awesome I just wish the staff were friendlier, would have been a much nicer experience."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
When planning your family visit, consider bringing extra towels and snacks, as these can add up. Some reviews suggest that while the spa itself is family-friendly, dining options on-site might be limited for picky eaters, so packing some familiar snacks or planning a meal in the nearby town of Archena could be a good idea.
💰 Budget Travelers
Consider visiting for a day trip rather than an overnight stay if your budget is tight. Bringing your own essentials like flip-flops and a padlock can save on rental or purchase fees. For meals, the cafe by the pool is a more affordable option than the upscale restaurants, or you can explore dining options in the town of Archena for more budget-friendly choices.

The Thermal Waters: Nature's Remedy
Visitors can experience these healing waters in various ways. The indoor pools are often preferred for their warmer temperatures and more varied features, while the outdoor pools offer a connection with the natural surroundings.
Beyond the pools, the spa offers a range of treatments that utilize these natural resources. While some guests have noted inconsistencies in massage quality, the core benefit of soaking in these ancient, mineral-laden waters remains a primary draw. The consistent cleanliness and maintenance of the pools ensure a pleasant and hygienic experience for all.
