Visitors consistently praise the Aranjuez gardens for their beauty, scale, and relaxing atmosphere, often highlighting the picturesque fountains, statues, and the presence of peacocks. Many recommend allocating ample time to explore the extensive grounds, especially in the fall or spring. Some note that not all fountains are always active, but this doesn't detract significantly from the overall positive experience.
"Gorgeous sprawling parklands located next to the Palacio Real in Aranjuez. I highly recommend a visit to the parks (both Jardín of the Isla and Jardín del Príncipe) associated of course with a visit to the palace itself.
There are a lot of nice fountains around the park, however unfortunately some of them were not turned on during our visit.
Despite this there was some lovely late afternoon light coming through the trees when we were visiting. I recommend making it down to the Tagus river and also across to the Estanque de los Chinescos."
