It's a narrow street lined with shops and two hotels. From here, you can access the Casa de la Julianeta and Calle Santiago, an easier access to the wall. This street also leads to the Portal del Agua, and from there, you can quickly walk down the narrow walkway to the Paseo Fluvial (River Walk), or climb some stairs to the cathedral.
