What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking panoramic ocean views from Hyangiram Hermitage, describing the climb as 'well worth it.' The unique integration of the temple with dramatic rock formations and the serene atmosphere are frequently highlighted as major draws. However, some find the steep climb challenging, and parking can be a significant issue.
"You will need to hike straight up on stairs for about 20 min to reach the top from the parking lot. View is well worth it with a panoramic view. There are plenty of food options near the parking lot."
Kent Moon
"Nice little temple on the slope of a hill overlooking the sea. You get a really nice view over the sea when you actually climb up to the observation deck!
Parking is an issue BUT there is a paid parking lot 500m down the hill.
The temple is accessible with wheelchairs and strollers BUT it’s a steep climb. With a wheelchair or stroller you’ll have to follow the road which is a bit of a detour. However, keep in mind that with a wheelchair or stroller you won’t be able to access all the areas of the temple.
Entrance to the temple is free!
The short route to the temple are the stairs, otherwise follow the road."
Gerry Ghostrider
"Impressive views, about a 400 ft climb via stairs or a longer side road. Also, for people up to it, you can walk up the top of the mountain at 790 ft elevation through a steep stairs path up the mountain. Free entrance. Only coffee or tea are available once up at the temples."
