Reviews Summary

Taejongdae Resort Park is celebrated for its breathtaking natural beauty, featuring dramatic cliffs and stunning ocean views. Visitors appreciate the option of walking the scenic trails or using the convenient Danubi Train to explore. The fresh seafood by the beach is a highly recommended local delicacy.

"Taejongdae is an iconic park in Busan. It took me ~2hrs to walk finish the mountain, including visiting some of the landmarks like the observatory and lighthouse.

It's a relatively easy hike - it's a sloped ground with many water fountain and benches for you to rest. Some landmarks might be more challenging such as the lighthouse as there are many stairs. Overall, it's quite safe and simple to walk around the park.

The views are quite nice - you can see the ocean from several spots at the park. Sinseon rock has been closed due to rocks falling. There's also a train that can bring you to various checkpoints around the park if you don't want to walk too much. I didn't take the train so I can't comment too much about it.

The observatory has a cat, and a stall that sells snacks for the kitty 🐱"

A Taste of Taejongdae: Fresh Seafood by the Sea

One of the most memorable culinary experiences at Taejongdae Resort Park is indulging in freshly caught seafood, particularly the grilled clams. Near the beach area, you'll find informal eateries, often referred to as 'haenyeo' stalls, where local female divers prepare and serve seafood they've just harvested.Reddit This offers an authentic taste of Busan's coastal bounty.

The 'haenyeo' tradition is deeply rooted in Korean coastal communities, and enjoying their catch directly from the source is a unique cultural and gastronomic experience. The clams are typically grilled to perfection, retaining their natural sweetness and briny flavor. It's a rustic dining setting, often with simple tables and chairs set up outdoors, allowing you to savor your meal with the sound of the waves as your soundtrack.Reddit

While the walk or train ride to these stalls might require a bit of effort, many visitors find it well worth it for the quality and freshness of the seafood, often noting it's more affordable than similar options in the city center.Reddit It's a perfect way to complement a day of exploring the park's natural beauty.
