What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Naro Space Center offers an engaging, hands-on experience with space exploration, particularly enjoyable for children. While the exhibits are interactive and the surrounding monuments provide great photo opportunities, the lack of English information and a limited, expensive souvenir shop are notable drawbacks. The scenic but challenging drive is also a factor to consider.
"Great place for kids. Although most of the activities are in korean, they were interesting nonetheless. 3D show was nice, and the model of International Space Station was great to learn from."

"Unfortunately, there is nothing in English in the museum; one of the other exhibits looks like it's been there for 20 years, and no one has touched it. The only Korean astronaut has only her suit and a photo of her outside, it's a shame. The souvenir shop is expensive and the selection is poor. Not what I expected from KARI."

"Getting there is super long and strenuous as you are literally driving around a mountain trying to get to the bottom. The roads curve constantly and driving is slow and can be perilous if not careful. The space center actually cannot be accessed, you can enter the visitor facilities and museum which is very hands on, as apposed to a western style where you can’t touch anything. There are many artifacts and space related monuments that you can get very close and personal with that are great for taking pictures. Aside from the space center, this area has many places to stop and relax and take photographs. Many resort areas are fairly close by like Yeosu and Wando so it’s really a different world from Seoul. I think it’s important for korean people to be in touch with their space program and furthermore to venture outside of the Seoul metropolis areas. For such a small country South Korea truly is very big."
