What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Ilsan Bridge for its crucial role in connecting Ilsan and Gimpo, significantly cutting down travel time. The opportunity to witness beautiful sunrises with city landmarks visible is a major highlight. Some find the toll fees a bit high for the distance covered, but the overall convenience and scenic views are generally well-regarded.
"It's been a while since I've seen Ilsan Bridge!
It's not a traffic jam, but it's a leisurely ride.^^
This bridge connects Beopgot-dong, Goyang-si, and Geolpo-dong, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do.
It's the 27th bridge across the Han River, with a total length of 1.84 km and a width of 28.5 m, and has six lanes in each direction.
Construction began in August 2003 to improve the inadequate transportation network in the northwestern part of Gyeonggi-do, and it opened in January 2008.
To protect the Janghang Wetland, a major migratory bird sanctuary in the Seoul metropolitan area, eco-friendly construction methods were adopted, and decorative features were excluded.
The exterior is painted in an inconspicuous lime green, and the exterior is kept simple. By crossing the Han River from the lower reaches of Jayuro to connect Ilsan New Town and Gimpo, it provides convenient transportation for residents of Goyang and Gimpo, who used to use Gimpo Bridge upstream."

"A place where you can see a beautiful sunrise.
You can put Lotte Tower and Namsan Tower in the rising sun at the same time.
Mid-November. End of January.
Try it~"

"The fastest toll road connecting Ilsan and Gimpo. Thanks to this, I don't have to go all the way to Gimpo Bridge, so I'm thankful for that, but I think the toll is too expensive compared to the distance it takes."

This led to a deliberate exclusion of decorative features, resulting in a simple, inconspicuous lime green exterior that blends with the natural surroundings.
