Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum to be an educational and affordable place to learn about the island's unique natural history and cultural traditions. While many appreciate the detailed exhibits, particularly the marine life and traditional life sections, some note that the limited English translations can be a barrier for non-Korean speakers. The museum is generally seen as a good value, though some find it less immersive than other attractions.

"This is a wonderful museum to educate visitors on Jeju Island. There are exhibits on the people of Jeju, and their traditions. There are detail exhibits that show the types of animals, vegetations, predators, and produce that are on and around the island. We really enjoyed our time in the museum. It gave us a lot of insight on how the island evolved and the eco system here. It's very affordable, I highly recommend coming here to learn about the island."

"Really interesting museum with lots of areas covering pre-history up to present day. Lovely to learn about how people lived on the island. As a note though, not everything has an English translation. There was a guide in the halls who spoke to us and was really knowledgeable and interesting."

Harriet

"Small museum, were you can learn about Jejus volcanoes, animals, old traditions and history. But it was not really suitable for non-Korean speakers, and it felt more oriented towards kids.
There was a little English text, but it was always much shorter and simplified, compared to the Korean text. And often there would be no explanation when going from one theme to another.
So they should probably rethink the museum if they want to make it accessible to foreigners."
