What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Busan Station is a large, functional hub with a food court and gift shop, offering easy access to KTX trains. While convenient for travel, some visitors found the food options limited in traditional Korean choices and noted a lack of readily available customer service. The station's waiting area is basic, but nearby cafes provide better amenities.
"The station is quite big with ootdoor area where you can see a nice view of the city. Tge information screen is big and there is the information kiosk. Many restaurant on the 1st and 2nd floors. You can cancel the ticket on the same day with small fees."
Jovan Kun
"Big main fast train station connected with local train lines. Easy to get to by train and to find the platform.
Clean bathroom and food courts available however mostly bread and western food. I was hoping for some easy takeaway food like gimbap but there was none. No food sold on the KTX train either.
There is a gift shop selling train related gifts which was great!
Not many staff around in the station and definitely no sort of customer service or assistant around for trains or boarding. Funny how the train line allowed a family of 3 ( dad, mum, and a daughter of around 6 - 8 years old) to book 2 seats and just have their kid sit on the floor the whole ride."
Penny Gaffney
"over-rated with food and shopping at the station, it's just ok. Waiting area is spacious and just has very basic bench to sit on, not very comfy at all unless going to different cafes with free charging services & WiFi. Lockers at ground floor is not big enough for one checked baggage, which is a shame.
Bullet train is not justified comparing with Jeju air from Busan to Seoul, it costs lots more around KRW598000 and suitcases storage areas are always occupied by KTX cargo or delivery services, whereas Jeju Air will have checked baggage of 15kg and 10kg as carryon bags for KRW25000 - KRW28000. It may work out almost same amount of time to checkin and transport for flying than taking bullet train."
