Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Andong Soju Museum to be a small but interesting stop, particularly for its free admission and complimentary soju tasting. While the exhibits are primarily in Korean and the museum is compact, the opportunity to sample authentic Andong soju and purchase it at good prices makes it a worthwhile visit for many. Some suggest it's best as a brief stop rather than a major destination.

"Rather small museum but have extensive displays about the different festivals and the meals that go with it. A part of the display is also dedicated to the history of the Soju making process in Andong. Entrance fee is free but at the end you can enjoy a sip of Andong soju at the souvenir shop."

"Free entrance.. Very small but interesting museum to learn the roots and how soju is produce. At tge end you get to taste 45 % proof soju at no cost. The attendants speak very little English but we're happy to accompany us through the three main rooms point a try explain the displays. They were very attentive and gracious. Also, I found the soju here cheaper than in other venues so I retur Ed the next day to buy some. I assumed because it was a museum the price was going to be more expensive but I was wrong. Everywhere else I visited even the markets was more expensive."

"Andong Soju is a must-try-it-out type of drink if you are settling or visiting Korea. The museum itself isn’t well equipped; doesn’t have any english/other foreign language guide, rather small (can finish off entire tour in max 15 mins), accessible only via bus 80 which runs every 30 mins. The good part however, is that entrance is free; offering free tasting as well. This is also the cheapest place to get Andong Soju; around 30 euros (34 dollars) for 2 bottles of 400ml Quality Andong Soju.

Try visiting if this is on the way to one of your planned destinations; it could be slightly disappointing if you plan this place as one of your major tour stops."
