We have been to Impodimo a number of times now, and there is a reason we keep returning - it is simply brilliant in all respects.
Every member of staff is friendly and attentive, all of the rooms are lovely (including the larger family room, which I can highly recommend for any group travelling together), and the game viewing is second to none. We have been fortunate enough to have been with all of the rangers and trackers, and they are all excellent - incredibly knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, all will always make a huge effort to ensure that every game drive is memorable.
We had the perfect engagement at Impodimo in October '24, and returned for a mini-moon in December '25 - the staff went above and beyond to make this particularly memorable.
The food is exceptional, with enough variety that you can easily spend a few nights at the lodge.
A few other notable features of Impodimo are the elephant hide, where you can sit alongside the lodge's watering hole watching animals, the fact that the vehicles have a ranger and a tracker (something which many lodges don't have), and that the lodge is not fenced which allows for incredible game viewing right at the lodge.
I cannot recommend Impodimo more highly, and having recommended it to many friends and family, I can say that none of us have ever been anything other than blown away by the entire experience!"

"I am sure all the Game Lodges are fantastic but here is why to book the Impodimo Game Lodge:
It is the only Lodge that is non fenced that means you can hang out by the pool while elephants are bathing right next to you - of course you will be save at all times since rangers are for example escorting you at night time
It is one of the only lodge that has trackers on the game drives. They have a great knowledge and contribute to extra safety during the drive.
It is one of the only lodge that are using cars without a roof which gives you a 360 degrees view over the safari and at night you will see so many stars.
Plus great nanny service - we can highly recommend."

"The Impodimo Game Lodge is all round fantastic! With well structured and thought through days it is easy to find your way around and have fun.
The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The staff cater for you when eating your meals and when you are in your room if you need anything. The rangers are always happy to answer any questions you have when you’re on the drive.
Obviously it is amazing to see al the different animals on both the game drives and around the lodge itself!
Finally, it is a great place to stay if you want an unforgettable experience and is definitely worthy of a 5 star review!"
