Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Jonkershoek Nature Reserve's breathtaking scenery and diverse hiking trails, suitable for all fitness levels. The waterfalls are a major draw, especially in summer, and the Postcard Cafe offers a pleasant spot for refreshments. However, limited parking and poor mobile signal are common drawbacks.
"Jonkershoek Nature Reserve is absolutely breathtaking. There's fun for everyone. There are hiking and mountain bike trails. We see runners doing the 5km towards the car park inside Jonkershoek. Always make sure you are early if you are hiking, otherwise, add an extra 10km to your hike. There is limited space to park inside. I have done the two Waterfalls, which are the best in summer, while even better in Winter. There's enough water to take a dip and the water is refreshing. There is the Panorama route which I have yet to complete, but one step at a time. There is a cafe which sells warm beverages and snacks too.
There isn't much signal, so make sure you are a big group when tackling the trails."

"What an amazing place. Around 5km hike to the trail entrance of the waterfall trails. There is an option to drive to that point, but only a limit number of vehicles are allowed to enter. So it's first come, first served. I arrived at 06h15, gates opened at 7am and paid an entrance fee of R75."
