"Our stay was so amazing!
Ws started off with horse riding and then went to check in after.
The guide was great and she gave us all the information that we needed to know about our respective horses. That was great because I was not too startled to see that my horse kept bending to feast lol. She also assisted during the ride when the horse was doing too much feasting, letting me know how I can “control” the horse, which was calming. If you do not have a car, the stables are not a walking distance from the reception area.

We’d booked the Zenkaya, and it’s a bit of a distance from reception. Essentially, having a car will make your stay better.

The breakfast was tasty and filling! We appreciated that breakfast was included, which we also had to collect from the restaurant (next to reception)

The service from the ladies at reception and the gentlemen who assisted us with starting the fire for our hot tub was excellent. We found our room in great condition and really enjoyed our stay.

The tub was amazing. The gentlemen started the fire for us around 16:00, and we kept putting in the wood as instructed. By morning (around 09:00), the tub was still pleasantly warm.

There is no wardrobe, but there’s a small cupboard to put your stuff in. If you’re looking to hang clothes to avoid creasing, that might be a bit difficult, but the room comes with a steamer, which should help.

"Studio 2 at Rosemary Hill Farm was a joy to stay in. The unit is spotless, thoughtfully arranged, and beautifully cared for. It feels both stylish and cosy, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We spent three nights there and loved every minute.

The farm is stunning, with lush greenery, a peaceful atmosphere, and plenty of character. There are lovely walks and views that help you relax almost immediately. It is an ideal place to switch off, rest, and enjoy a calm break from city life.

We also really enjoyed the breakfasts, lunches, and suppers at the on site restaurant. Every meal was fresh, full of flavour, and presented with care, and the staff were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, our time at Rosemary Hill, and especially in Studio 2, was outstanding. We would be very happy to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway."

"From the minute our booking was done online, the response from the team at Rosemary Hill Farmstays was excellent. Special mention to Zandi and the reception team, who went out of their way to welcome us and ensure we were settled in well. The staff were extremely welcoming and informative, preparing us perfectly for our trip. They even accommodated us with an early check-in and late check-out, which made our stay extra comfortable. We opted to book the Zenkaya unit, a stunning stand-alone cabin tucked away in the forest — beautiful and thoughtfully designed, offering the perfect balance of comfort and tranquility. The surrounding forest, which you have all to yourself, is peaceful and refreshing. The unit features beautiful large windows, allowing you to take in all of the nature and surroundings. The team truly go the extra mile to ensure you have the best possible experience. The farm itself is exceptionally well maintained and beautiful, and the rooms are cosy, romantic, and the room and bathroom are very clean. The unit has all the essentials for a short staycation, including cooking utensils, cutlery, and a small cooking stove, plus a braai area with a gas braai for your convenience. A highlight was the wood-fired hot tub, which the staff happily ignited for us upon request, and there’s also a beautiful fire pit to enjoy. A bonus is that this place is just a one-hour drive from Johannesburg. We loved that you receive complimentary rusks, fruit, crunchies, and milk — such a thoughtful touch! The booking also includes breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed; the food was plated beautifully and the waiters were excellent. The farm has many activities to choose from, which we would love to try on our next visit. Everything felt effortless and thoughtfully arranged — we had such a wonderful, relaxing stay and can’t wait to visit again !"
