What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Olifants Rest Camp is celebrated for its absolutely breathtaking views over the Olifants River, offering a truly immersive bushveld experience. While the location and atmosphere are consistently praised, some guests note that the accommodations are showing their age and could benefit from renovations and deeper cleaning. Despite these minor drawbacks, the camp provides a clean, well-equipped, and peaceful stay for those seeking an authentic safari adventure.
"Olifants rest camp we stayed in a chalet for 2 nights beautiful views over the Olifantes River it's really a beautiful location.
The reason for the 2 stars were for the rooms were that the walls cabinet fridge door handle and bathroom we're dirty we bought bleach at the store to clean everything.
The bed was neat and tidy towels were clean and kitchen utensils.
Overall it was a great experience."

"The camp sits high on a ridge overlooking the Olifants River, and the views are absolutely breathtaking, we loved every moment of it. We stayed in a bungalow with an old, very noisy air conditioner that sounded like it was on its last leg, but it still did the job. The location was convenient, right next to the communal kitchen, which made it easy to get our coffee early in the morning. That said, the place is definitely in need of some renovations, as the facilities are showing their age."
