The outdoor woodfire hot tub was a definite highlight — relaxing in the hot tub with 5’C evening was just awesome.
We also loved the hiking, especially the Agama Trail, which offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The bird hides were a fantastic surprise — such a well-designed feature for bird lovers, and we spotted some incredible species.

"Stayed over the weekend of 1 March 2024. Thank you to friendly Aphiwe at the bookings office who assisted with a smile and some great advice. Fantastic value accommodation at Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve. With only 5 x self catering units, this reserve really offers so much. Jungle gym, tennis court, 2 swimming pools (1 adult, 1 kids) and put-put. Not to mention hot tubs with a view and a hammock to laze away. One unit even has their own private swimming pool. The weekend felt too short for all the reserve and the surrounding area had to offer. We ended our Sunday off with a walk in the reserve opposite the accommodation area."

"Wonderful walk.i took wrong trail & was getting late.so Ranger kindly brought me down a special emergency shorter route .thought was on Agama but merged into Rooikat.could not have finished, was another 4 hrs to go at 15.00.
