The warmth and hospitality of the villagers are consistently praised, making it a moving and memorable visit. Some minor points regarding cleanliness have been noted, but the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive.
"Wonderful visit to Matsamo Cultural Village near the border of Eswatini. Swazi culture is explained and celebrated at this traditional village. The tour started with a song and dance performance. The vocal harmonies will give you goosebumps and their voices are so powerful - no microphones needed here! A small group of us got a special encore performance of Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika the South African national anthem after other groups had left. We were then shown inside the main hut - where the village grandmother lives who is the matriarch of the community.
We were then served a delicious buffet lunch with an array of hot foods in clay pots and an extensive salad bar. The condiments bar was next level (see photo!) Special praise to the lovely chef who came out to talk to me when I asked how the spaghetti dish with beans was made (it was the best). Dessert was banoffee pie with ice cream - also delicious.
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Unsure of cost as it was included in trip."

Nice way to learn about culture, fantastic singing and dancing skills, although more attention could be paid to cleanliness of the show area and sitting logs."
