"An epic view from the top of the pass! The drive up is slow due to poor roads but passable without a 4x4 but you definitely require high clearance. 4x4 required if it's been raining heavily or for a while. Small entrance fee payable at the permit office. There are no facilities at the view site, just never ending surreal views! Well worth a visit!"

"Others have mentioned the road. It is quite badly deteriorated and although there are great views from the top, the roads even in a 4x4 are hard going. Even on a fairly clear day the views in some directions were obscured my a mist/haze. So unless you really like bumpy tracks with large gullies across and along the track. I'd recommend spending your time somewhere more accessible. If read the price was 25 ZAR per person but was charged 27 ZAR, obviously this doesn't go towards the up keep off the road, which is a pity."

"Just good and quiet place fresh air also"
