"Tucked away in the heart of the Midlands, Caversham Mill Farm and Restaurant is one of those rare finds that feels like stepping straight into a postcard. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive to get there — but the moment you arrive and take in the view of the river flowing just beyond the deck, you’ll realize it’s absolutely worth every kilometre.
This family-owned spot radiates warmth. The service isn’t just friendly — it’s personal. The team checks in with genuine smiles, engages in light conversation, and somehow makes you feel like you’ve been coming there for years. It’s hospitality done right.
The meals themselves were delicious — hearty, well-prepared, and bursting with flavor. But the real showstopper? The cake. Decadent, moist, and the perfect ending to an already wonderful meal — it was the cherry on top of a birthday celebration that felt extra special thanks to the setting and service.
Simply put, Caversham Mill isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Between the breathtaking views, the welcoming staff, and the incredible food, this is a Midlands must-try in my book."

"Food was absolutely delicious 😋 for starters we tried the Panko prawns - plump, and delicious. For mains, our table ordered the Tandoori platters for each person and this did not disappoint. Spent a leisurely 3 hrs at this restaurant simply just enjoying the views, food and wine. Prawns, chicken and lamb kebabs were incredibly tasty and left us wanting more. We will definitely return for more delicious food.Thank you to the team 🙌"

"First time visit to Caversham mill, and this part of the Mildlands. Drive in through unpaved roads for a couple of kilometres, through some beautiful country. The restaurant is a progression of a mill from
The 1800s. Located next to a river which flows into a water fall, and river following some beautiful scenery. The owners are very friendly, and happy to give you their time, to discuss the history of the place. We went in for a buffet breakfast. The food was good, the staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was perfect. The owners were very accommodating, adding to the buffet menu for us, vegetarians. The area is serene and the air crisp. The restaurant is airy, and comfortable, with both inside and outside seating, overlooking the waterfall. A wonderful experience, will definitely visit again."
