Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre for its engaging and interactive exhibits, particularly highlighting the educational value for children. The hands-on approach to science, technology, and math makes learning fun and memorable. Some visitors note that it can get crowded, especially with school groups, and suggest checking the schedule for special events.

"My daughter did her birthday party here. The venue area is amazing, there is a fridge, microwave and a area to accommodate a private party. So cool"

"Went into the CBD in Johannesburg to see this one. We arrived at 3:50pm and they didn’t charge us even if we were willing to pay. I guess because we wouldn’t be able to see the whole thing.

What we saw was very interesting and interactive. Especially the car section which is sponsored by BMW and the mining section.

I only remove a star because they are supposed to close at 4:30pm but at 4:15 they turned off the lights on us. Would have been nice to have the last 15mins to see more. But then again maybe that’s the reason they didn’t charge us… because they planned to close up early.

Highly recommend this museum. Just be careful coming and going because the CBD can be rough around the edges.

Go with a trusted driver or Uber. Don’t place your bag on your lap while you are in the car. You can place your bag under your knees instead. Don’t wear jewelry."

"Exhibits are amazing! Pricing is reasonable - kids were kept entertained for hours! The climbing wall is such a cool addition; really impressed with how well this place is run. A big thank you to the team that runs the centre for the amazing contribution they are making to the lives of our little ones in the field of science - it gets them super interested in such a practical way in a subject that generally exists to children only in books."
