"We pulled in, followed the short path, and then the trees opened up and the whole drop was just there, loud, clean, and a bit taller than photos make it look. I stood with my elbows on the rail for a minute and let the spray hit my face. Took a couple of quick pics, put the phone away, and just watched the water hit the pool and roll off in sheets.
We didn’t do anything fancy. Sat on a warm rock, split a bottle of water, and passed the binoculars back and forth to watch the swifts. A kid nearby tried skimming stones and we all ended up counting along. After a while we headed back, shoes dusty, talking about nothing in particular. Simple stop. Worth it."
